AUCEA

Travel and Accommodation

As Queensland's playground, the Sunshine Coast offers visitors a plethora of natural, social and cultural encounters. AUCEA has chosen accommodation venues that offer delegates a quintessential Sunshine Coast experience.

The conference will be held at the University of the Sunshine Coast on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 July. We encourage delegates to arrive on the Sunshine Coast the day before the conference – Tuesday 8 July. The University of the Sunshine Coast will hold a special social event that evening for those delegates who would like to experience one university-community engagement activity.

Delegates are requested to either make their own travel bookings or contact the AUCEA travel specialist for the best rates. Please note all Fraser Island accommodation bookings are to go through Corporate Travel Management. Either way, we encourage you to book early to get the best rates and your first choice of accommodation.

The AUCEA travel specialist, Miriam Williams at Corporate Travel Management, can be contacted on 07 3210 3326, quoting reference “AUCEA2008” or you can send your accommodation and travel requests via this Travel Request Form

Conference buses will pick up and drop off at two Sunshine Coast locations – the Mooloolaba beachfront adjacent to the Mantra Resort and Twin Waters Resort. We have recommended four prestigious resorts for your Sunshine Coast stay. Each have access to a patrolled stretch of ocean where beach lovers can surf, kayak, jet ski and sunbathe to their heart's content. The Mooloolaba beachfront also offers eateries, boutiques, specialist shops and galleries, while Twin Waters has resort eateries and a golf course.
