USC Community Engagement Function

While the conference officially opens on Wednesday 9 July, there will be a University of the Sunshine Coast community partnerships including a tree planting and barbecue on the evening before the conference (Tuesday 8 July). This informal social gathering will be held in conjunction with Chancellor State College, an adjoining high school which shares the university's facilities and is participating in this lake-side environmental project.

Australia Zoo Tour

Start the day with an anecdotal tour en route to the world-famous Australia Zoo. There you'll see crocodiles, elephants, snakes and lizards, birds of prey and cuddly animals. Marvel at the Crocoseum; the fulfilment of one of Steve Irwin's lifelong dreams. The adventure will conclude with the BBQ and tree planting function at USC.

Scenic Hinterland Cultural Afternoon

Explore the cultural delights of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Enjoy a “mobile picnic” lunch on the scenic drive up the Blackall Range. Visit Mary Cairncross Park on the verge of untouched rainforest with spectacular panoramic views over the glorious Glasshouse Mountains. Looking for an unusual souvenir? You'll find the answer here as this area is known as “The Creative Heart of the Sunshine Coast”.

Noosa & Sweet Delights Tour

Spend the morning shopping, lazing on the beach or walking the coastal track around Noosa. Then you'll be escorted to one of the Coast's famous eateries for a sumptuous lunch, inclusive of beverages. In the afternoon, you'll sample sweet delights.
